About SolarReady Australia

SolarReady Australia is an independent information resource for Australian homeowners navigating the solar and battery storage market.

We publish practical, up-to-date guides on solar panels, home battery systems, government rebates, and electricity feed-in tariffs — written in plain English, without the sales pitch.

Why we built this site

Australia has more rooftop solar per capita than any other country on Earth. But the information landscape hasn’t kept up. Most solar content online is written by installers trying to sell you something, or aggregators collecting your details for lead generation.

SolarReady Australia exists to fill that gap — independent research, honest comparisons, and clear explanations of a rapidly changing market.

What we cover

  • Government rebates — the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, state incentives, and STC rebates explained without jargon
  • Battery storage — honest comparisons of Tesla, Sungrow, Alpha ESS, Fox ESS and other leading brands
  • Solar panels — Tier 1 brand comparisons, sizing guides, and what to ask installers
  • Feed-in tariffs — state-by-state rates, how to compare plans, and when a battery makes more financial sense than exporting
  • Savings calculators — practical tools to estimate payback periods and annual savings

Our approach

Every article on SolarReady Australia is researched using current government data, retailer pricing, and industry sources. We update our guides regularly as rebates, tariffs and product prices change — which in this market, they do frequently.

We are not solar installers. We do not collect installer leads. We do not accept payment to recommend specific products or brands.

Some articles contain affiliate links — if you click through and make a purchase or request a quote, we may receive a commission at no cost to you. This never influences our editorial recommendations. Our affiliate disclosure policy is explained in full on our Disclaimer page.
